You have to PROMISE to race it . We always seem to be one boat short of our own class in a few of the bigger races. You just missed a honey of a J/30 that was for sale in Nanaimo. I don't know where it went.

Yes we need another J30 on the line for our own class.
There are always great options for boats. Vampire will be for sale in three years now. Had to push the date back as I bought a new house. I love my J30 but I need a big blue water boat for retirement.
There are a few things to watch for when buying a J
I would not be to concerned about getting one with great sails. Better to go with a good hull and all the gear done right. You will be getting sails soon any way when you want to be at the top of the game.
That said many J30s are very competitive on old sails. I know I would never say Tony is slow with his old main and #1
So email if you have questions I'm always around. Just been moving so some I have been a bit tardy here.
Next reginal J30 distance races are. Vendee saltspring (double handed)
And the great Northern Century 100 race and that's also double handed. We normaly have 4 J30s in that.
Scott you should be done and home by then. You in?

Funny I know those boats very well. Scott and I did van isle on different boats last time. Scott was on red heather and I was on Cinco de Mayo.
I can't make SIN this year but it's on the list for next year. Now that the boat is in Victoria we will be doing more racing.
Your always welcome to come down and see the boat. We will be in maple bay during the vendee. You could probably see 4 j30s then. There is one that cals maple bay home and then Radiant heat, limelight and Vampire will be there.
Don't rush and get the right boat. But your picking a great boat. Fast safe and fun.
Great cruiser with a good turn of speed at a great price. It has it all but hey I'm biased.
See you on the dock. I am always easy to find as I have the silly Vampire stuff on. And if any one needs branding for there boat just talk to me.
