boom screw issue

boom screw issue - 08/06/18 07:22 PM

Has anyone else had an issue with the three boom screws holding the extrusion to the J-neck coming lose? I've been told that "everything" has been tried and I just need to check tightness periodically. I believe there must be a solution someone has come up with. Currently, my fasteners are stainless, phillips head screws.

Any thoughts?

Overdrill fitting and screw in stainless helicolis (threaded inserts).

Or... two (one on each side) can be thru bolted and held with a nylock nut

No kidding? I haven't looked that close at the extrusion to see about access on the back side. Thanks!
