Haha! Yes, still around smile I've been active on this forum and have benefited from your past posts too! I'm also in the J/30 Facebook group.

Little bit about #401 - Savanah as she's known today...

She is in fractional ownership between myself and two other friends.
We bought her from Meredith B. of Glen Head, NY back in May of 2018.
Our maiden voyage was from Glen Cove, Long Island up to Kittery Point, ME where she is now moored.
We actively race in the Piscataqua Sailing Association PHRF fleet.
This season we placed 1st in our class, last season we placed 3rd.

She's well cared for, old Yanmar 2GM is still running strong (as rough as it may look).
We added twings this past season which was a huge help.
She may be due for new standing rigging in the coming year, seems from past forum records it was last done around 2009?
If you know anyone with a 12.5ft carbon fiber spin pole, we're looking for one wink

Actually, I have a question @whitedolphin, do you know who manufactured the balanced rudder? It came with the boat but as parts, since it's cracked open/split in several areas. We haven't had much use for it, just sitting in my garage, but it would be nice to know its construction and if it is worth repairing.

Perhaps text me if you'd rather take the conversation offline.

Cheers
