Evelyn J-30 #179

Hull 179 built in December of 1979 launched that spring of 1980 as Mr. Roberts. then sold to a group of partners in Maine renamed Get to work (ya bum). Brought by us in 2008 and has gone through a refit over those 6 yrs.

The hull is painted with tobin bridge grey awlgrip. Boot top is white easypoxy paint. Cove stripe is metallic grey.

Bottom was stripped 5 coats of interprotect and has been painted with interlux micron extra. Color is a mix of shark white and black.

Keel has been faired and reshaped to class templates. Rudder has been faired and is at class minimum weight. Tiller is custom made with the original tiller as a back up.

Rig- all standing rigging in mint condition new forestay and tuff luff 2008. new boom kicker in 2009. Running rigging new spin and jib haylard 2013. main haylard new 2010. New jib sheets 2012, Tapered spin sheets 2013. carbon pole 2010. boom stripped and aluminum polished 2011. replaced sheave in jib/spin box this past winter. mast painted white cleaned and polished every year. Mast comes out every year and rig gets inspected every year. Have a furler but needs to be put together.

Sails
Beer can set of sails. 1998 dacron main , 2009 3dl with taffeta genoa, 2009 .65 oz spin . all sails are north. good shape for beer can racing.

Regatta sails, Only used in one design events: 2010 north radiant main, 2013 carbon/kevlar genoa north. 2010 .65 north spin. # 3 dacron doyle full batten with 2 partial .

Engine: 2ym15 installed summer 2008. oil/ transmission fluid changed every year. Past year changed exhaust elbow (recommened by yanmar to change every five years) appoximately 500 hrs on engine.

Deck: Removed and rebedded all hard ware on deck. recored around chain plates, put new led running lights in and repainted the deck including new non skid. New hand rails and slides for drop boards. all varnished with epiphanes. Also new plastic tracks for hatch slider. New windows 2013.

interior: various small projects and varnish work. cushions are in good shape blue with red piping.

Electronics. raymarine st-40 depth and speed 2011, Garmin gps 128 works great. new vhf 2013. new stereo 2013 blue tooth and ipod.
