Wanted 1984 -1987 J-30 - In Pacific Northwest - 12/27/15 05:58 PM

I am hoping to acquire a J-30 for berthing in WA. Please let me know if you would like to sell your boat or know of someone who does. I prefer the later model design and will use the boat primarily for cruising and occasional race. Will consider extending search nation wide for the right boat.

If you want a trip to kona, I am thinking of selling. Just not using enough at age 74. Has modified galley with 2 burner propane range and sliding sink. Would make good deal. Came over on its own bottom 6 years ago. old style cockpit.

Thanks to those who have responded to my inquiry. I have been in negotiations with Jim Brannaman, Port Ludlow WA, owner of hull#366 "Flying J". While it is not the newer version of the J-30, it is well cared for and equipped. If all goes well with the survey next month, I will be the new owner.

FYI there are two later model 30's in the northeast listed on Yachtworld that look very nice.

Speaking of that, does anyone have any experience with shipping a J/30 from the east coast to the west coast? Especially if you don't own a large truck or trailer? Thanks.
