Annapolis J30 Sailors, Is there going to be a One Design Class for J30s in the NOOD this year? There are no J30s on the entry list as of April 1st.

Yes John, I figure we should get about 12 with the loss of Big Kahuna and White Boat for sale. Are you thinking about coming down?

Chaos won't be sailing the NOOD's this year unless my crew wants to arrange it without me. I have a conflict with my daughters' lacrosse schedules.

Just getting back, Thanks Bob, Good Luck to all the J30s at this week ends Annapolis NOOD. Wish I was there. I'm sure you guys are missing Larry. Have not done much traveling in the last two years. Aging Trailer, Tow Vehicle and Skipper. Plan to rejoin the circuit next year when I have less responsibilities at my home club.

May consider New Orleans in the fall if some one twisted my arm. Not towing a boat down though, maybe as crew, with a loaner, or something else...

Now nine boats. I thought last weekend it was a good thing we weren't racing since it was so stormy, but I might regret that given the light air forecast.

I will miss Larry's boat, but from what I hear he and his crew will be on the race course with others. Happy to see Uncloudy Day out for a weekend regatta for the first time in several years, but missing Avenger, Cannonball, Chaos, and Leap Frog. Hopefully we can bring along a couple new boats in the fleet, in particular Skua whose skipper has been crewing on another boat in the fleet.

Chaos finally went in the water Thursday morning with a couple of new leaks that need attention after replacing the prop strut. Plan on sailing up to the Magothy Sunday afternoon, and racing beginning Wednesday night. We are entering the GIYS/MRSA regatta.

Hope you have more wind than predicted this weekend.

Could've used a bit more wind and less current. One race Friday, four Saturday, one Sunday. Congratulations to Better Mousetrap who avoided trouble going 1-4-4-2-1-4=16 to top Insatiable 2-7-1-6-2-2=20 and Bump 4-2-3-4-3-5=21. Five different boats won a race. Results here.

Long delay Friday in thick fog which is unusual here. Lots of racing Saturday in a light Northeasterly of 6-8 that built to maybe 12 during the final race. Current ebbing at over 1.5 knots making the standard start a dip from above the line. You had to over stand the weather mark by a considerable margin and douse early to avoid getting swept past the leeward gate.
