Boat Sold to Ken Sciarappa of Woburn, MA
I found a j-30 sitting on someones property in Beverly MA. It has been out the water for about 10 years. I went over the hull and deck and found some minor wetness around the stbd chainplate and near a handrail and about a 1x1 foot section in the topside( this is not a survey if you are interested i would encourage the buyer to get one) The boat needs a good cleaning and updating of electronics and sails . the engine is a yanmar 2gm that turned over by hand. It was maintained by a yard in marblehead. The cabin sole needs to be stripped and refinished but looked to be in decent shape. In my opinion this could be a great boat for someone to restore without a ton of glass work.
