for the dorade fitting take a look in the forepeak you should be able to see were it was plugged it should be on the starboard side. It you cut it in make sure that you seal up the balsa core with epoxy (West System is a J30 owners best friend)

Or you can get a anchor rode bag and keep the chain and rode in it which is what I do that way when you are racing it can live in the just aft the the bulkhead
