I am not a mechanic, but I followed Rhapsody's step by step instructions on oil/filter change with the Pella Extractor.

Worked great, but it took forever to suck the oil out of the sump.

I assumed it would heat up right away when I ran the engine for about 5 minutes.

It must take loner??? It was about 50 degrees out. What is a reasonable amount of time to run the engine to warm up the oil to make the extraction faster next time?
