This Fairclough Cover and Frame, built for my J/30, has been used for three mild winters and is still in excellent shape. There are a couple of small holes that have been professionally repaired.
Fairclough Covers are the best there are: strong, breathable, long lasting and easy to erect and dismantle. Figure 2 people, a half a day or less - one person a little longer.
Perfect if you want to do repairs over the winter and to protect your boat investment. On a cold sunny day it is surprisingly warm under the cover.
This cover has no openings for the mast and shrouds and so does not leak nor run water into the chain plates. The mast must be removed before installation of the cover.
Fairclough will build you a new one for $2950 plus tax in about a month. My price $1800 and you can have it tomorrow.To have the mast and shroud openings installed by Fairclough was $750 a few years ago; probably more now...
It is located in Atlantic Highlands, NJ and I'll deliver within 75 miles; otherwise buyer picks-up. The cover itself can be shipped, but the frame would be a problem.
Buy it before the winter gets ugly!
