As Russ said, some 400 series hulls, before the molded combing came out, had wood combings including if I recall correctly #421 Tippecanoe our loaner at the '97 NA's.
For comfort try a version of those 'soft rolly things' called 'Backsiders' from
Standout Yacht Fittings. For a home made version use 1/2 PV/flexible Polyethylene tubing with Armacell/Armaflex pipe insulation and a fabric cover. Any shop that does canvas should be able to make them. Have also used hollow pool noodles in a pinch and they come in bright colors, though cheap as they are they won't last a season. If you race, put them on the lower lifelines in the middle for the crew to hike and on both lifelines in the cockpit for skipper and main trimmer.
