J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Replacing Halyards

Hi All,
Just looking for a general consensus, what rope to people recommend as a good halyard replacement for the J30s?

Also, has anyone used those main track fabric steps that you hoist up the mast to climb the mast? Thinking about getting these for inspection, installations, etc. Thoughts?
