Interesting to hear about yearly re-application of hard paints. Blitz has the same VC Offshore bottom for many years, and most of it is very smooth and fast. It just gets minor touch up as needed and a once over with some bronze wool every spring. Cleaning every week is important. It was cleaned every other week in some previous years, which resulted in a few heavy scratches during the higher effort cleaning. I know some other racers with VC Offshore or Baltoplate also go many years between paint, but I now wonder if we are in the minority.
