J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Fuel Tank FMT-16-TP Inspection Plate Gasket

Anyone replaced a fuel tank inspection port gasket. Mine is 40+ years old and as hard as a rock. The gasket appears to be a 6" circle.

I am willing to make a gasket if any has recommendations on type of fuel resistant rubber.

Calling all engineers in the J/30 world for advice.

nitrile rubber sheet?
1/16 of an inch?
