Canaan,

Good news on the shoulder! There are multiple types of Peel Away. Peel Away 7 will take off the barrier coat. I did research and they have versions of Peel Away that are more caustic (like Easy Off Oven Cleaner), but this only removes the bottom paint, not the barrier coat. Go figure that the less caustic stuff removes all the paint. There is also a version of Peel Away that is sold for Marine applications, but is costs lots more. If you read the MSD sheets, you'll see that it has the same active chemicals as Peel Away 7. The manufacturers website with this info is here: http://www.dumondchemicals.com/

Plan on multiple applications and scraping, pressure washing (which removed more paint after the Peel Away), followed by orbital sanding. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but compared to the time I spend sanding without the Peel Away under the jack stands confirmed this was much easier. I guarantee if you do this in warm temperatures, it will take less applications and the paint will come off much easier.

Look about halfway down in this thread and you'll see the post on where I bought the Peel Away 7. http://j30.us/ubb/Forum10/HTML/000622.html
