Hey, while my J/30 is out of the water, I am considering upgrading the shaft. I think the current diamater is 3/4 inch. After reading the posts, I have noted some references to 7/8 inch and some to 1 inch upgrades.
For those with an upgraded to 1 inch, did you change out the strut?
Did you ask a local machine shop to produce the new shaft?
Any tips are appreciated.
