J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Launching Retriving J/30

Hi all,

I am seriously considering a J-30 for single-handed racing and want to be able to take the boat to various locations so I want to trailer the boat.

How do you launch and retrieve a J-30. Does anyone launch on a ramp or do you have to find a crane for the mast and to pick the boat up?

Also, how extensive is the problem I've read about with moisture in the hull from exhaust core not being sealed etc?
