J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Replacement Portlights

I spoke to Henry on Tuesday because I ordered a new set of hatches from Layline. He mentioned that he had put one opening port in his J/30 and was told by somebody active in the class association that it is not legal to race with opening ports. Does anyone know if this is the true??
