I have owned hull #325 (WhatIf) for the last 4 years and have been racing in Corpus Christi Bay. Our new PHRF Committee decided to measure both of the J30's and found that both of us had poles that are J+1. I noticed that the
US Sailing PHRF handicap book states that an overlength pole is standard on a J30. Than I look at the J30 website under PHRF ratings and see that the PHRF is based on a pole with a length of J and OD rating with J+1. How is this done if the oversize pole is standard on a J30?
