I have done a bit more investigating and it seems some of the water is coming from the screws that are holding the companionway sill in place. They are about an inch back from the edge of the sill directly above the engine. I suspect that there is a void under the sill that is letting this water in. However that does not explain why the inner part of the interior vertical teak peices of the companion way are showing water damage from the top running all the way down to the sill?
