Yeah, I thought about that but I'm only relocating the main halyard block there and It's got a monster backing plate and the deck seems ridiculously strong there. But A way to anchor the backing plate to the maststep might be a viable project. I bet I could just secure some amsteel to the backing plate and run it down close to the mast.
