J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment solo sailing

Prior to purchasing my J30 I did a lot of solo sailing on my 23ft Beneteau. However, I'm wondering if any boat modifications or special equipment are advisable prior to doing so with the J30, or is it just trial & error? I'd appreciate any advice, including successful techniques on raising/lowering sails, mooring, etc.,
