We had one interior handle rot away on one end due to a leak. We fixed the leak and then made a new interior rail. We took a piece of ash, traced the old handrail, had it rough cut out and sanded it to fit. Worked great and was an excuse to use the drum sander on the drill press. The old hand rail was cut down and is now our towel rack in the guest bathroom to go along with the nautical theme.
