Got the quote from North, Charleston loft - they want $2,509 for AirX 700 and $50 more for AirX 600.
Maybe I will just limp along till Fall and take advantage of the discounts - or maybe just tell these guys that and see if they wanna work with me...

I will be at strictly sail in chicago this weekend. Will be talking to North on a new chute. I will let you know the deal there is. It usually goes for several days after the show.

Have you tried Gus Sails in Texas. They have very competitive pricing and the quality is just as good as anything else I have seen. I bought a number one for Velocity Girl and lets just say that my Harrstick guy couldn't touch the price I got. I know other forum members have bought from Gus and have been very happy. He does a ton of Jboat one design sails. I have not bought a spin yet but if his prices are as competitive on chutes as they are on head sails you would do well to contact him.

If we all get together and order 10 spinnakers at a time, North will offer a fleet discount. Let me know who is interested.

Think they'll give me a retroactive discount for the one I ordered last fall? It was 0.5 oz for PHRF

Dave,
Do they all have to be the same chute, or can we order class and PHRF chutes.

I would definitely be in. What kind of discount does a fleet purchase generally offer?
I am looking for a PHRF chute, and was hoping to pull the trigger pretty soon.

Other than fabric, someone could extend mid-girth measurements or other dimensions to increase sail area. Std pole is J+1. Could use a longer pole and get a larger spinnaker.
