Rather than epoxying the inside rail, I recommend using a forester bit to over drill the inside mounting holes without penetrating the outer skin. Then tape up the holes and use a syringe with thickened epoxy to fill the holes. The cured epoxy can be drilled and tapped with appropriate SS fasteners to attach the inside rails. Use bungs to cover the screws but don't use glue so they can be removed when desired. Sand the bungs to match the profile of the handle and use a good marine polyurethane to seal everything.

On the crown, Joe specified this to be included (5/8" total crown).

I justed ordered these things - will let you all know how they turn out.

I would be very careful about using screws to mount the inside hand rails They should be bolted thought I'm been off shore in a boat were they were screwed in place and resulted in someone breaking three ribs

the Vee Jays inside handrails are thru bolted with fender washers on the deck ... the outside handrails have fender washers inside. we are fender washer addicts.

FWIW - I'm in the process of replacing ours. The topside teak rail feels pretty soft and I like the reduced maintenance of stainless.

I got one quote from a quality shop to replace the existing rails exactly (5 attach points/rail) in stainless and do removal of old/install of new.

Total price - materials + labor is about $1k.

I'm a customer for your teak rails, if you're still willing to turn them out for $300. Laser Beam's on-deck teak rails are shot, but their cabin headliner twins are still in great shape.
