What would it take to get someone from the UK to sail next year? We have 4 countries represented in the Finn Class.

Question!!!
Fat Tuesday is the 24th. Ash Wednesday is the 25th. Doesn't the mark the end of Marti Gras? Why is the regatta the following week end? What are the J30s sailors giving up for lent?

Well, even if you could get the crew to the boat this weekend, there's no way they'd be in any shape to sail.

For lent, we're giving up PHRF racing. And brussel sprouts.

I plan to give up my self imposed ascetic lifestyle...in particular I plan to give up not drinking Hurricanes.

Drive Carefully! Don't take any 105 sailors to the French Quarter! Keep the Zulu Coconut!

Eat your wheaties, the breeze is going to be on; gusts are forecasted well into the 30's.

I'm not really loking forward to the solo delivery. Too much work that early in the morning. At least I won't be on a Finn. Or a Moth.

Congrats to Steve and the Blue Meanie crew! I hope you had a good time in New Orleans. You certainly brought the New England weather with you.

Will you come back next year to defend the trophy?

Thanks to all the New Orleans gang for making our visit such a great time. Especially thanks to Harley and Dave for helping arrange the loaner boat! We had a blast-especially surfing those waves in the last race.

We already have reserved Land Shark for next year-we'll be back!

Steve, ya left before I had a chance to show you the beads trick. LOL

Seriously, I had a great time watching you and crew have a great time. Tell us some of your secrets about how you whipped us in race # 4? We yield!

This year's regatta was small at only 70+ boats due to the economy. We have 8 active J/30s racing with two more programs ready to launch. There are two weekends of racing, so for those who have access to a J/30 trailer, let's roll. The winds started at 8-10 then built to 25 sustained during race #4. I saw plenty of J/30 keel LOL.

If anyone would like to race next year, let us know ASAP as you can see the loaner pool is going fast!

Cheers,
Dave
