2008 NAs? How about Nawluns? Lightning can't strike twice, can it?

J.Doe is incoming. Never heard anything further about a loaner boat from "the locals" after an intro email ...good thing I wandered up there to have a look at boats last month. I had hopes of egging on a few more out of towners but with lack of support its pretty hard to be a cheerleader... But if there are other loaners available, and any out of town teams need help with logistics... even just a pic of the "loaner boats" available let me know. I will be there for a week around Labor Day.

Ok - after some serious Rhapsody crew arm twisting, we will not be making it down to Annapolis for the NAs. Some pretty lame excuses, particularly from one guy who got married this year... he never missed sailing commitments before!

Anyway, If anyone is low on crew, I'd be willing to travel to Annapolis to help out in any position. You can reach me via the email in my header.

To Mike McGill and the folks in Annapolis - thank you for contacting me and taking the effort to arrange loaner boats!

Time is growing short to enter; the late fee (+$50) kicks in next Friday, September 7. Clearly the Chesapeake Bay J/30s are procrastinating until after CBYRA Annapolis Race Week this coming Labor Day weekend. Here's my personal list in hopes of breaking 20 boats:

Registered (5): BeBop, Circus, Fat City, J. Doe, Mary Lou

Expected from the Chesapeake (12): Avita, Better Mousetrap, Big Kahuna, Bump In The Night, Cannonball, Deck Works, Encounter, Insatiable, Leap Frog, Uncloudy Day, Valhalla, White Boat

Expected from out of town (2): Blue Meanie, Smiles

Possible from the Chesapeake (4): Avenger, Hat Dance, Jaguar, no respect

Possible from elsewhere (2): Arbella, Zephyr

Unlikely from the Chesapeake: Chaos, Cool Change, Jezebel, Sage

Unlikely from elsewhere: Mallorca, Planxty, Ruffian, Rhapsody

Anybody I missed?

Late fee kicks in after today with 17 and counting. Still looking for: Blue Meanie and White Boat

We could break 20 with: no respect, Uncloudy Day, Hat Dance, Avenger?

But really, I think there is one that is just plain missing: Zephyr.

So White boat made it! Would love to see a rematch of Zephyr and White.
