The past couple of years the J/30 Midwinter Regatta were been scheduled the first weekend of Mardi Gras. This was done for several reasons, one of which was to give our out of town guest a chance to experience some of Mardi Gras while avoiding the high cost of Mardi Gras weekend when Hotel rooms are at a premium.
Next year Mardi Gras falls on February 8, which would put the midwinter regatta, in its current scheduling, thought, on January 28-30. That is real close to Key West Race Week, which I don't have the dates for at this time.
Any thoughts?

I definitely would not schedule the regatta the same weekend as the J/22 MW.

The J/22 Midwinters are scheduled with President's Day and will not be in New Orleans at least for a few years now, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I would have the regatta the same weekend 2/4 - 2/6) as Mardi Gras. This way all you need to do is stay two more day to experience Mardi Gras.
Thanks again Danny for a great 2004 Mardi Gras.

When and where will the 2005 NAs be held? If in New Orleans, shouldn't we move Midwinters to KWRW or other venue?
