l'm looking forward to using it.
One of my re-coringings is on the stbd cabin top, where I'm about to paint the white portion around the companion way hatch cover with Arctic White Perfection. Next year maybe for the rest of the white portions of the deck.
For the Kiwigrip, a light warm gray?

I'm thinking tint to your choice is best possible choice.
worse comes to worse take off your anchor hatch and see what that matches to.

A lot of the new boats are going off white decks.

When I did my decks I had that white outlining around hatches, mast, etc ... but decided that I was a sailor not a painter on a boat ... so just painted any gell coat on deck that was deck ... light gray. there is only so far i will go with masking tape.

One more note for interdeck painters ... it takes nearly a week to cure for action level activity.

After considerable deck re-core work last year I applied Kiwigrip grey on my boat. No complaints with a hot deck last summer. However, the temperature up here rarely gets above 32°C (90°F) as our climate in the Pacific North West is fairly moderate. It does look really good and it is easily patchable. Much better than my very worn 32 year old non-slip.

I have completed the Kiwigrip job on Radiant, using the KG white paint tinted to Benjamin Moore "China White" (a warm light grey) by my local hardware store. Application was easy and the results are great!

It took my wife and me three hours to mask the boat and me eleven hours to completely paint and unmask it.
KG recommended 2 gallons of paint, but I only used 1 gal. + one quart. Except for the bow, I opted for a less aggressive surface which used less paint. There is some difference to the texture from area to area, but it is acceptable.
Jamestown Distributors sells the "loopy, goopy" roller covers in 3" and a "3" roller handle which was 4", leading to build up on the ends of the roller and an inability to get close to the edge in places. A better option is to buy (2) 9" roller covers and cut them down with a saw (the cover is kind of brittle) and you will probably need a few 3"-ers, since they unravel before the job is done.
3M Special Adhesive Thinner is great for clean-up, even after the paint has dried.

Its consderably lighter than the original and has a nice sheen, without being glossy.

My fear with Kiwigrip is keeping it looking clean. we get a lot of dust in our marina

A worry of mine as well, but yesterday a buddy who had been sanding the bottom of his boat and who was covered in red dust climbed up on Radiant to help me install my rudder. The mess he left washed off well with soap & water. The deck will probably never look as good as the day after it was painted, but what are ya gonna do...

That really does look good. Is the texture a result of the type of roller used or the timing when you applied the roller?
