Saw the pics and videos, but otherwise it's been pretty quiet here. Anyone like to fill the rest of us in on this year's event? Race conditions? Anything special about the winner and their crew or other innovations in the NOLA fleet? Did match racing on Sunday by Zephyr and Jalapeño open the door for Land Shark? How about travel experiences of the trailers and loaners? What's the story on that rockin' band?

Crickets. I see what may be a first in NA History. Ullman Sails Gulf Coast shows David Bolyard, Sr on winner Jalepeño and David Bolyard, Jr in second on Land Shark.

Trailiering was long but still alot of fun and worth the trip from Upstate NY (1485 miles). 2 tires that were only 8 ply formed Bubbles in them so they needed to be changed. Also broke a Leaf spring bolt that needed to be replaced in the Big Easy.
THe sailing was great. Very close racing, shifty winds 20 degrees at times, flat water. Saturday was extremly light only 1 race.

Regatta writeup at J/News though it reads like they cobbled together the pre-regatta press release the regatta home page and the results.
