Sometimes there are no bits and pieces available. but today there is this supplier. I am not a customer, but am thinking about it to do a back up plate on a starboard winch once I have taken care of some balsa core rot with penetrating epoxy. I'm thinking a simple 12" square will handle it.

Vic - the starboard plate is a great used externally as a backing plate. I've found that even if it is roughed up it is not a good solution for bonding with epoxy though. It just doesn't get a good chemical bond so the strength of the bond is weak.

Ahoy Cap'n Vic,
What thickness, dimensions are you looking for? I have some left-overs that I used for the chain plate project.

actually I'm using 1/2 in starboard as a backing plate for the winch ... but hold on to those pieces of G10 ... someone will need them.
Thanks.
