Hi All, Every time I read and search on the forum I'm just so glad we have this resource. I stepped the mast today and in all the fun forgot to attach the windex. Is there any concern about getting hauled to the tippy top? With only the backstay up there, is the mast strong enough to support a 160lb. guy? Sorry, hopefully just being paranoid. Thanks, Sam

Hey Sam! I'm assuming you mean with all of the standing rigging attached, of course :P No issues when I did it (and I'm ~180#): ![[Linked Image from scontent.fsjc1-2.fna.fbcdn.net]](https://scontent.fsjc1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/t31.0-8/11157513_10155406436795177_8702665998150250985_o.jpg)

Sam,
I've been up the mast more times than a man should in two years, was secure for me. (Hedging my bets, I wore the spinnaker halyard clipped to my harness along with the main as insurance). Also, I'd be willing to clamber up for you if you're feeling any doubt. I'll be over at cyc on sunday launching the diesel with Bill Duggan if you'd like some help.

Ok. Thanks guys. All sounds good. Josh, I won't be able to get to it this weekend and am up for the climb when I can. Thanks for the offer. Glad you got the launch going and wish I could help with that. Sam

Make sure you pick a really windy day and have your heavy crew walk around the deck from side to side for extra entertainment while you are up there
