Jay, years ago my boom snapped at the vang attachment point. I removed the vang ss strap, had the boom butt welded then had aluminum angle iron pieces (about 18" long) welded to the top and bottom of the boom, centered over the butt weld. We repositioned the vang attachment strap. It looked like hell but lasted 2 years until we got a new boom section The main was loose footed so the angle iron on top didn't cause any issues

Hi. I'm interested in your mast, front starboard port window, white stern light on the push pit, stanchons, green/red running lights on the bow pulpit. My J 30 was pretty beat up by hurricane Irma/Maria. Thank you very much

Hello Steve, This is a very old thread, but just checking. I am the new owner of #378 in need of a mast. Did you find a buyer for the FALCON mast? Thanks, John

Looking for almost anything for controls: cleats, blocks, whole backstay setup, vang setup, main sheet rigging. Hull #30 needs a major bit of work to avoid tearing apart another set of lines and to actually be able to pull things in and let them off. I don't need perfect or the highest performance stuff - just tough stuff that won't destroy expensive line or make safely changing settings hard to do and maintain. Vang on? Not any more? Main out? Good luck... Backstay? Get two crew and pull! Getting there.... but can't put in the major $$$ for new everything - already sunk in new main and genoa and new major lines and halyards this winter, so anything used and good would be great. Of course, reliable and really high performance stuff, but used, would be more than welcome! Can't use the new lines until I have good stuff that won't hurt them. Sorry for the novel...
