FYI:
The 172 rating is for non-spinnaker. With spinnaker it rates 155. This is for a 135% genoa, roller furling credit, and a dacron cruising headsail credit.

I am re-submitting for a rating with the same configuration so it will be interesting to see what the difference is when I get mine.
Have you noticed if the boat does not point as well with the 135 due to the wide sheeting angles?

I am new to the forum. I just found out that my rating for this season is going to be 135. We have a class # 1 and a class lenght pole. Does this number make sense?

135-138 seems to be fairly typical for a one design set up. You should check the history books in your area to see if any other 30's received ratings.

Which PHRF area are you in? PHRF-NB has the following J/30 ODR rating: 137 Spin, 154 Non-Spin

PHRF-LO, Yes other J30's in this region have similar ratings. I think that there are now less than 10 racing on Lake Ontario.
