What do you all use for fairleads for docklines? The ones at the stanchion base allow the dockline to wear out the hull gelcote as well as the fiberglass the stanchion is mounted to. Most specifically I'm talking about the stanchion at the forward end of the gate on the starboard side, which I use for a spring line. I wore out a new spring line last winter on this fairlead.

I run my spring lines through the jib blocks and cleat them off at the jib sheet cleat.

I started running a spring line through the bow line fairleads. So simple. Avoided wearing out the stanchion bases.
