Previous owner had a unique mounting for the Sailcomp. He took the standard mast mounting bracket and added some legs made from stainless steel bar stock. The two at the face end turn away and mount with thumb nuts to two studs embedded in the forward edge of the spray cover. The third leg rests on the deck just forward of the spray cover. The wiring is clipped under plastic wiring clips attached to each screw in the edge of the spray cover to run back into the cabin through the companionway. This places the Sailcomp within easy sight of the helmsman (even at night), allows most of the crew to track the starting countdown, keeps it safely stored inside when not in use, and provides and excellent beer can holder for the crew.
