I just had a survey done on my boat here in the Carib... seems that there is not much to compare in the "comp sales" department... both boats that sold here recently were hurricane trashed and salvaged... If theres anyone out there who has bought or sold a J30 recently and can email me with info...price, condition,etc I'd greatly appreciate it.... jdoe@onebox.com the redhead

Ha! What would I do without my favorite headache? I just need to insure properly before hurricane season... I wouldn't put all the time and money in just to sell. And yes, I'd love to hop up north to sail with you guys.

Well Mark is still land locked so if you make it up North now you can sail with us on Rhapsody. Practice tomorrow night, then 1st spring race next Tuesday 8 May. Bring the warm weather with you!

I have mine insured for 25.000 plus the trailer for 4.000....

I wouldnt sell her for that price, but if somebody would trade in a 27 corsair I would be tempted. :-)

If I would find another boat I really wanted to have ( questionable at this time ) than I would ask 32000 for the package... Mine is a bone dry 82

When we last surveyed, we got a 30K + current value of sails from the survey. That's Hull #3, with no wet spots, fully rigged for current racing, with just over 1000 hours on the engine.

Oh, and any time you're within hailing distance of Cedar Point, during the season, give a holler, and we'll get you a ride. (Either us, or line you up with another J/30 in the fleet if we're full that day :-)

Speaking of the value of a J/30... I have just decided to sell Hull #526 (Formerly named Uproar). I sent an email to the webmaster early this week about posting the boat for sale but have yet to hear back from him.

Does anyone have a better contact email address than webmaster@j30.us
