With respect to the Max Prop, I think that I remember a discussion some time back that indicated the propellor was so effective in reverse that it can damage the transmission. One would want to discuss this issue with PYI before purchasing one. I could be mistaken, but it would pay to be careful about this.

I had stainless rails made for the outside by TOP IN QUALITY INC.810.364.7150. Marysville MI. $197.00(back in 1998) for the pair.They were custom made to my measurments based on the average spacing. The nuts were welded in the short standoff pipes and I off set the inside rails by using a custom made stainless SEX BOLT. ie a 3/8" dia x 5/8 long hex headed bolt drilled out and tapped for 10-24 screw,add a fender washer, polysulfied caulk and they have NEVER leaked again. I also sealed the deck holes with epoxy during the operation to protect the core.One other note I epoxy sealed the TEAK hole so the screw wouldnt crush the wood when I tightened it.

Some friends of mine were at the TPI open house a few weeks back. TPI was spesifically asked if they could supply new rails for J30s. They said they could. They have some in stock and when they ran out they would make more. You need to provide them with you year and required demensions (how many loops and center to center distance of bolts) just to make sure. Good Luck. I'm also looking into Stainless. I have asked for a ruling from the board to make sure no one has any objections.
