So there I was in an extremely rare for me "away" sailing venue, Long Island Sound, on a friend's boat (not one of us). We were racing round the buoys when I looked up to see a J/30 ! Turned out to be Excalibur. Very cool to see. I have actually spoken with that skipper regarding sheave issues. Before that he was just some helpful guy I "met" here on the class site forum, and suddenly he became a living, sailing human on his J/30. Didn't get the chance to say hello. It defintely added a certain element to the weekend, seeing the J/30. I miss sailing our boat already, for sure.
