A couple of the stanchions that hold the upper lifeline in place on my hull #118, has come apart and now the upper lifeline is not held into place. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Replace the stanchion or can I just get a cap of somekind to hold the lifeline in place?

Stanchions are inexpensive. You'll want to make sure they're class legal, but you can order them from Garhauer for about $25 each.

I'm not sure I understand how they came apart, but if there has been any stress at all, the metal will be fatigued. Any repair will just be a band-aid. I would advocate replacing them.
