Talk to COREY at Hall spars. BUT, I had a problem with their "off the shelf" rigging... It seems that the specs they have are for the earlier J30s and were very big and heavy for what I have on my boat... I only rcognized this while in Annapolis afterward and looking at other rigs. I ended up with the local rigger... cost was about the same +$1200.

Do you remember the rigger here in Annapolis? I'm getting a couple of numbers but JPort recommended Annapolis Rigging...curious.... Originally posted by the redhead: Talk to COREY at Hall spars. Sorry, "local" for me is the Virgin Islands. I did have Annapolis rigging make up the thru bar for my spreaders; he was very helpful. I didn't want to reinvent the wheel here in the islands, and they had a "kit" (including the rivets) ready for me when I was at the boat show... showed me how it should be installed on a section of mast there in the office. I just had to tell my guy what to do....

Thanks. I've great things about them but I have never worked with them before. They do a lot of work on J's. I'm sure your weather is much better...we are at 18 degrees this morning

If you need J/30 rigging in the Annapolis area, I would suggest talking to Gordon Latrobe. He used to own and race "Shaken Not Stirred" and is a great guy to work with. He owns Northern Bay Rigging and is, of course, very familiar with the J/30 rig. He should be able to set you up with whatever you need. His number is 410-626-8855..and here's the web URL: http://www.northernbayrigging.com/index.html

Good idea Joe...except he never returned my calls when I was there...too busy? Or hated the foreign (LA) area code. I heard good things...too bad we didn't connect. When are we racing your boat again...this summer???
