This month issue has a nice picture of the J/30 Blue Noose racing in the Heineken Regatta. Nice motivation for those of us in the rebuilding process. John

John,
J/30 Blue Noose is not one we've got in the class database. What periodical or website did you see this. Is there a name and or sail number associated with the boat that I can track down?
Thanks, Bill

I saw it in Sailing. Two page picture. I will check for a sail number and make sure I got the name right when I get home. Thanks John - That's Tanner Jones with sail number ANT 227 from Antigua. Just a little warmer there than where you've been doing the restoration work.

While we're on the topic of racing pictures, I noticed a picture of a J30 in the Annapolis Book of Seamanship (Third revised edition,1999). It is on page 141 and the picture represents a sailboat tackling force 6 winds. The sail number for the boat is 35234. Does anyone know whose boat this is or the story behind it?
