Thanks for your nice welcome David.
Getting the boat in racing condition will probably take a while...
no crew, no racing experience with the J/30 boat, new to racing outside of clubs bunch of to do list... And Marblehead is a good 4 hours from Boston...
But we will see.
RShepley, I also can only wish you will join the fleet soon. To be true it took me a year to find a J/30 that was in a good condition...

Georges - You have a J/30 now - Boston is no longer 4hrs from Marblehead (-:
Get the bottom in decent shape and the rest will happen.
Also make sure you keep an eye on our District forum. I may try and put together an end of season meeting at the Sail Loft in Boston.
