Congrats on your J/29. There is a J/29 here at the west end of Lake Erie - North Cape Yacht Club - that appears will be donated to our sailing school at the end of the season. The boat has some farily new sails that the owner is talking about selling separate from the donation. If you have any interest in them let me know and I can get you the details - question though; is your boat a mast head or fractional?
Un-related, where in Cleveland will you be keeping the boat?
The Mills Trophy Race (only 137 boats registered so far) is this weekend; any chance of doing this one? Also, Bay week - in August - is a completly new venue and one to consider. What's the name of the boat? We'll look for you. Russ - Wildcat

I bought hull #50. It's a Masthead Outboard named Synergy. It was raced competitively for many years, but has spent the last 10 on the hard in Cleveland. I'll have it back in the water in another week or so. The bottom, and replacing the guts of the rudder is the big work that's happening right now. I'll have a blog up about it later today.

I'm PRETTY good on sails and such, but am always happy to buy whatever I can, and then 'pay it forward' to the next person that needs it. My email address is doug@SparkBase.com. Have them email me directly.

I'm crewing on a J-35 the rest of this season. (WhiteHawk) The only race I want to do this year is the Falcon Cup. It'll dock it at Whiskey Island the rest of this year. I've got to sell my Cape Dory 25 before I can put this one in the water. So if anyone knows of someone looking for a great boat for $3k...LET ME KNOW!
