J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Warm starting problem. Anyone run into this problem ?

Possible free repair, take starter off engine. Remove solenoid and inspect for scratches on plunger and heat damage.(leaking wax from windings inside) Polish plunger or sand it down a few thousands of an inch. Carefully reassemble and bench check before installing on engine.This was the final fix on mine.
