Russ Atkinson Senior Member Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 393 Rockwood, MI, USA	Dave - My jib and spinnaker halyards were always showing wear at the splice in anywhere from 3-5 years. My new spin halyard is not spliced. It's only 1 year old I think my main halyard has been on the boat for 5-7 years with no sign of wear.
