J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Compass transducer location?

I mounded my raymarine compass transducer on the bulkhead in the head at water level, that's what raymarine suggested when I contacted the tech guys. I have not noticed any interference from the wires in the mast, but I only have the three lights on my mast and nothing else. I would think if you have shielded wires in the mast it would cut down on any interference.
