J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Are J29 and J30 main sails compatible

Hi all,

I just bought #189 and am looking for a main to replace the one that probably came with the boat. I found a J29 main that still might be for sale. Just wondering if there are any potential issues. I think mine has slugs in the mast and a bolt rope in the boom. Has anybody else used a J29 main on a 30?
