we replaced all the running rigging on St Elmo's Fire last year when recommissioning. due to various ages of crew we carry three weights of sheets to accommodate
the main sheeve was OK but the shaft had come loose from one of the sides so we removed it, rebuilt the opening and reinserted the assembly, it has worked well since, we have three mains from a heavy tempered Dacron to a light Kevlar fully battened and they are tough to raise without someone at the mast. the sail luff guide was gummuxed so got a replacement from Rig Right and although pricey vastly improved raising.
