Too funny, I too was just looking to replace with LEDs and also had trouble removing the bulb from the fixture. Do these screw out or pull out. I hesitated to apply more force as I didn't want to have the bulb break. Next step, I was planning on removing an entire fixture to take home where I could give it more focus and have better tools.
Do you have a link to what you were going to replace it with? I was hoping for a cheaper (less than $60) drop-in replacement.
